They're Done!
Well, ok, they've been done since last weekend. I procrastinated starting my interview preparation for a while. For some reason, I need to finish one of my KIPs before I can work on anything serious. I finally gave them a Eucalan bath last night and with any luck, they'll be in the mail today after work.
When I cast them off, I realized that I didn't have any more socks to knit and that I didn't even have any more sock yarn. There is a lot of Trekking left over and I wonder if it will yield another pair of socks...am I crazy to even consider it? But I digress. The fact that I didn't have a sock on the needles didn't sit right with me. I guess I really like knitting socks.
To my sock pal: Thanks for the haiku; those poems will always hold a special place in my heart. Don't worry about getting my socks out on time. I've never been punctual myself. To answer your yarn question, I like all kinds of yarn. Right now, I favour wool to cotton, but love alpaca most of all. I also like bright colours and prefer an interesting colourway (striped/variegated) to a solid one. I am really excited to find out who you are!

Those socks look amazing! I am so hella jealous... maybe i should use up some of my sock yarn and knit a pair?!??!
how did you interview go last week?
did you get the job? are you a travelling fiend now?

I can tell I've been out of town for work when I haven't hit up your blog in awhile! Luckily there wasn't any big news I hadn't otherwise heard about! But I am waiting to hear about the job...

Congradulations on completing the socks. I finished the pair I was knitting too--because I was procrastinating sewing together Paige's sweater and finishing the neck---still uncompleted. Just back from NYC and in spite of days of walking all over Manhattan and Brooklyn I never saw a yarn shop. Next time I will have to check the locations ahead of time. I just thought I'd "run" across some.

those socks make me miss knitting - ive been off the needles for a while due to 80/hr work weeks and packing and all that moving jazz. maybe since ill be unemployed in 1.5 weeks i can just whip up like 10 projects!
sorry i wont get to see you this weekend :( ill be cleaning my new apartment teehee. however, you are more than always welcome to stay with me in O-town - keep me posted about the job - maybe we'll get to explore O-town together!
